Great chicken fried steak and I had the best waitress ever. The chocolate pie was excellent too!

Food was real nice, salad bar was fresh and steak was cooked perfectly. Our waitress Lauren worked very hard to make surw we had everything we needed.! The ambience was very humble and laid back, very casual and comfortable for a home cooked style dinner. Great job Lauren

Saw a few less favorable reviews for the Boss, but being adventurous and needing a couple of nice steaks, we decided to try Hogg's out. Service started out a little slow, but turns out they were short a couple of servers so the ladies present were super busy. We were seated and provided very nice margaritas and like magic, our server showed up. The slow start was the only reason for the 4 stars, and it really should be 4.5 stars, but I can't figure how to accomplish that little trick. Our server was quite attentive, funny and fast too. If we liver nearby, we would be frequent flyers at this restaurant. Our steaks were very very good, tender, tasty, and cooked to perfection. I had the Delmonico and it was great, my wife had a Rib Eye which also seemed to not require a knife all that much; very pleased with the food. Oh, we both had the green beans with grilled bacon, they do this better than any others we have tried, so don't be afraid to give that side a try. I had mashed taters and beef gravy, the wife had one trip to the salad bar as her second side. The pricing, compared to California was amazing really, and the atmosphere was quite pleasing, sort of an old west vibe mixed with updated western themed artwork; I enjoyed the place quite a bit and have a great memory of our visit.
